I'm a messy gardener. Don't let the lovely macros I sometimes deliver to my photo blog fool you. Over-all, my garden is low-budget, low-maintenance and there are times when I talk to the weeds. :-)
A journal of our humble New England garden. Dedicated to W.P., with love.

Oh I used to make jam and these look like the grapes I would harvest. Mmmm...yum.
They weren't bad - a bit tart but the birds didn't mind! The vines only produced six or so clusters.
As always, thank you for your comments!
Are they Concord grapes? I am addicted to them but, as so many things, they are unavailable in Australia.
Yes Gina, we spent 4 happy months at lake Fairlee Vt in 1969 while the Prof was working across the border in New Hampshire. We rented part of a holiday complex after the New Yorkers disappeared like little green men into the laws of their apartments. We had a sail boat and a fleet of canoes at our disposal and a pond at the back we shovelled clear for skating. Convivial company of an architecture and a medical student from Dartmouth and 15 cobs of corn to the dozen at $i. A glorious autumn and we almost missed our flight back to Aust. and just got out before Vt. was declared a national disaster area with a snow dump of 60" in three days. Ah, those were the days.
My parents in law had a summer house in Vt with a view to Jay Peak where we often stayed when we lived in Montreal.
Some of the best memories were of that autumn in Vermont, bright and shiny to this day.
Thanks for asking . . . Arija
